Our guest speaker this year is Dillon Honcoop who grew up on his family's farm in Whatcom County. His grandfather had a dairy and his father raised raised raspberries.
Dillon is now the Communications Director of Save Family Farming and also does a podcast called "Real Food, Real People". He travels the state interviewing farmers and ranchers about their operations and airs his blogs to educate consumers about agriculture. Dillon will be enlightening as he addresses changes in agriculture and how family farms are adapting. Look him up and listen to our own LCFB member, Jack Mallonee, talk about his family's organic dairy in the Boistfort Valley.
This year our dinner is being catered by Joy's Once Upon a Thyme and will consist of:
Mediterranean Chicken, Smoked Tri-Tip, salad, vegetable and White Chocolate Cheesecake and Triple Layer Chocolate Cake.
You pay $15 at the door, but you need to RSVP so we can give our caterer a head count.
